MPOIP Highlights

The four-semester postgraduate program consists of a research-oriented part for the teaching of scientific methods and procedures and an application-oriented part in which surgical and non-surgical clinical concepts and issues, as well as forms of therapy, are implemented.

In total, the program comprises 60 CHs, whereby 20 CHs are allotted to the Master’s thesis and the oral examination in the fourth and last semester. The remaining 40 CHs are allocated to the five modules in the first three semesters.

What to expect in MPOIP

  • Confidently master the “classic” techniques of periodontology and implantology
  • Be able to Select the appropriate indication for a combined periodontological implantological therapy.
  • Identify critical patient collectives with the specific risk factors in each case.
  • Understand the biological principle of GBR in its clinical applicability.
  • Manage the soft tissues during the GBR procedure in vertical ridge augmentation.
  • Learn how to avoid complications in GBR
  • Get to know how to avoid complications.
  • Confidently anticipate, manage, and treat Complications.
  • Master patient Communication Techniques
  • Train the structured approach in case analysis and planning.
  • Discuss different options for defect resolution.
  • Learn about the possibilities and limitations of pink ceramics.
  • Train the detailed approach to achieve the treatment goal, including the treatment phases
  • Structure approach of case analysis and definition of single tooth prognosis
  • Determine the ideal time-point for the implant placement in the presented case
  • Develop several treatment options for the rehabilitation.
